Regional Collections

As the name suggests, this is a collection (with fully correct inventory data) of examples from all, or part of, a regional Biota. The term “region” does not need to refer to an absolutely specific parameter, but could be a country, state, municipality, biome, conservation unit or specific region level, as long as this particular region is well defined. This inventory most closely resembles a Scientific Collection, serving as an excellent form of reference, with the additional stipulation that any unicatas collected throughout a specific region must be deposited into a Scientific Collection. A Regional Collection shall comprise various taxa from a particular region, such as a Regional Collection of Invertebrates from the Coast of the State of Pará, for example. Obviously, examples from other regions may also be incorporated into the collection data as a point of reference, in the future, for this type of collection.
